Janus: 🎹 Piano
Janus brings a deep love of music and a lifetime of experience to her teaching. Raised in the small town of Tremonton, Utah, she grew up in a musical household, her father a professional trombonist and band director, and her mother a skilled pianist. From an early age, music was a natural part of her life, and she was fortunate to begin her journey with private lessons from trained professionals. Alongside her siblings, Janus performed in a family band that toured throughout Northern Utah and Southern Idaho, where she discovered the joy of making music together.
Janus is a professional musician with over 20 years of experience teaching flute and piano to children of all ages. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Utah State University and has built a nurturing, fun, and supportive teaching environment in her home studio. Her goal is to help each student develop not just skill, but confidence and a lifelong love of music.
Outside the studio, Janus enjoys traveling, reading, solving puzzles, going on walks or jogs (when it’s not too hot!), sewing, and watching great movies. She also cherishes time with her family and relaxing with her sweet cat, Phineas.
Janus looks forward to welcoming new students and sharing the joy of music with every child she teaches.
